Testbed for Sustainable Composite Manufacturing
Access advanced composite manufacturing infrastructure at the RISE testbed facility in Öjebyn, Piteå. The testbed for sustainable composite manufacturing is located at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden’s facility in Öjebyn, Piteå. The testbed provides companies with access to advanced equipment, specialized expertise and a collaborative innovation environment focused on fiber composite manufacturing. By joining the testbed environment, companies gain opportunities to explore new materials, test production methods and collaborate with other actors within the composite ecosystem. Two levels of engagement are available depending on the company’s needs.

Step 1 – Testbed Access
Suitable for companies that want access to infrastructure and the innovation environment.
– Access to laboratory infrastructure that does not require specialist supervision
– Presence in the innovation environment and opportunities for knowledge exchange
– Access to the testbed facilities during opening hours
– Participation in networking and informal knowledge exchange
Annual fee: 32,000 SEK (valid for 2026)

Step 2 – Dedicated Testbed Presence
For companies that want a stronger presence within the testbed environment.
– Dedicated workspace within the laboratory environment
– Possibility to store materials and equipment on-site
– One office workspace connected to the testbed environment
– Direct proximity to equipment, expertise and collaborative partners
