SWE-CIC Open House Coming Soon – Experience the Innovation Environment for Fiber Composites in Piteå!

In connection with the Nordic Composite Symposium, SWE-CIC invites you to an Open House at RISE in Piteå.
This is a unique opportunity for the business community to take part in an exclusive tour of the state-of-the-art innovation environment and to network with northern Sweden’s leading experts in fiber composites.

We spoke with David Engberg, Program Manager for the sustainable composite manufacturing testbed at RISE, about what visitors can expect.

What can we expect from the SWE-CIC Open House?
We invite you to a guided tour of RISE’s testbed for sustainable composite manufacturing, where we will present how the testbed drives innovation journeys. We’ll also showcase our work on the Papershell case—from idea to production—and how we collaborate with industry to create new sustainable solutions.
The presentation will be held in English.

Who is the event for?
We welcome companies and anyone curious about fiber composites and their potential. We especially encourage the construction sector to participate, as several of our member companies operate in that area. But we also see great value in engaging actors from the forestry, automotive, and mining industries—or any sector facing material challenges and looking for innovative solutions.

How does this complement the Nordic Composite Symposium?
While the symposium focuses heavily on research and future innovation, our Open House will provide real-world examples of projects that have already reached the industrialization stage. This adds a practical dimension and offers insight into how research can be transformed into actual products.
